This approach strikes me as completely ridiculous. I think it's fairly clear to most of us that a) the strikeout record's going down this year or next, and b) stolen bases is a good bit more likely than homers at this point (not to mention WAR, which will only require a player on the level of Pujols to come along who happens to play shortstop ... 230 years?)

Also, the complete games record will never be broken.

Also also, the home run record if it ever falls will have benefited from a rule change. Post-steroids, pitching is at an enormous advantage (and only growing). I wouldn't be surprised if they lower the mound (etc.) at some point in the next 30 years -- only after that do I look for someone to hit 70+ home runs again.
