Worst nightmare for anyone with social anxiety. Seated closer to others and probably having a lot more eye contact and awkwardness with other passengers.

But I'm interested in how safe it would be, both in evacuation matters and crashes. If I recall there's a difference in safety depending on which direction you're facing in a plane, among plenty of other factors.

yeah this looks like a clusterfuck for evacuations. the way the seats are positioned looks like a major tripping hazard.

also people behave so badly as it is on planes. i am having horrible visions of the person across from me thinking it's totally fine to put their feet up on my arm rests.

Perhaps the money saved will exceed the additional compensation needed for prisoners of the death trap inferno.

My fiancée is a former flight attendant, and while that certainly doesn't give her a ton of insight into the FAA process, she agrees with the points arguewithatree made. It's just too much of a deathtrap to get approved.
