My sister gave me this straight razor for Christmas. She bought it at an antique decor store, but it was in surprisingly good condition. The Diamond Razor Co in Boston operated from 1901-1904, so this is a little over 110 years old.
I have tried sharpening it before, but never went through the whole process with the graded stones. It was barely useable for a while. I tried a Japanese style of sharpening about three months ago, and messed it up completely. Now, hopefully I can get back to using it in the mornings, as school starts back up.
