Did I miss a Hubski post somewhere? Is mk sneaking a fast one past us?
It certainly looks better, the character count of all the words on the top right are more similar which is nice. Trying to determine the implication of the two words though. How do y'all feel?
Ha. Yes, I prefer it for aesthetic reasons too. I've also worked through some of the site text, and where appropriate, switched the term 'user' to 'person' and 'users' to 'people'. It's what we are, after all. I had the same thought as psychoticmilkman about the meaning of the word 'people' versus 'community', but concluded that community is the result of our efforts, and not something intrinsic to the site itself.
I saw it yesterday, possibly the night before. I don't mind the change, but I think the word "community" sums up what's on the page a bit better than just "people". But, the page is a good place to seen people who've been posting and commenting recently, so overall I don't mind the change.
