I personally will never vote for, give money to, or support the candidacy of a entertainer or celebrity in our government. I want people to show up and get the work done, not play make believe for the camera.

Was Schwarzenegger that bad? I'm currently reading his autobiography and am far from the political carreer of his, but I'd like to know beforehand. I have no idea what the result of his reign as the California gov'ner was, keep in mind.

Eh.... sort of. He came in and tried to make a bunch of very right-leaning people happy. He ended up ditching them and got some decent environmental work done. More of a wash than anything. Granted I did not live there and only know what friends and family tell me.

I forgot, you are not American, sorry. A wash is sort of like a draw. If you add the good and the bad you end up with a zero. Not good, not bad.

Think of the expression as more of he did some good things, some not-so-good things and in the end did not screw anything up to the point of disaster level.
