He dismisses the trolly problem a couple of paragraphs in, and the post really has nothing to do with them other than to say "this is not the interesting problem."

    I can’t count the number of times I’ve heard this question posed as chin-stroking, far-seeing futurism, and it never fails to infuriate me. Bad enough that this formulation is a shallow problem masquerading as deep, but worse still is the way in which this formulation masks a deeper, more significant one.

I thought about mentioning that, because I almost stopped reading too.

Okay, you're right. I stopped too soon. I'm not sure why I didn't assume any Cory Doctorow discussion would hinge on DRM.
