Are any other amused bystanders looking forward with grisly relish to an America led by Trump?

A Donald Trump Presidency might be a black comedy or a horror movie where you're so glad those things aren't really happening in real life until you realize they are really happening.

until you realize they are really happening.

Pardon my gallows humour, but that's actually been my stance during the whole fiasco. I'm the rabbit, transfixed in the headlights.

I dunno. Rock bottom is a pretty painful place to be.

I wonder how patriotism would survive a Trump presidency. It seems like, from an outsider, that there is a lot of blind patriotism going on in the States and I wonder if that would actually continue.

The more I travel, the more I realise that patriotism is an almost universal attribute. Some places just hide it better in the way they express it. The US doesn't even try ;)

We also get to see its cousin nationalism more (I think) because we're overwhelmed by the output of the media industry in the US which tends to exaggerates everything to grab your attention.
