This is great. I've just recently started editing Wikipedia myself. It is very addictive.

Really? I've often wondered at that. I had bad wikipedia editing experience some time ago, and wrote it off. I'm very glad to hear that it can be enjoyable, because I do love Wikipedia as a resource, and I use it all the time.

What makes it addictive?

What article did you edit? I edited the brazilian portuguese article on Ferdinand de Saussure, which was lacking sources and in need of text repairs. I guess the addictiveness comes from feeling like you have something to contribute to this huge and important thing that is Wikipedia. "Wait, no one since 2009 could prove this? I can!"

I spent the afternoon today trying to understand the HTML gizmos and making minor edits in the article. Finally, I just decided to leave it for the day and try some other time.

It actually was an edit to a couple tabletop roleplaying games (a hobby of mine). They were pretty small outfits, and it was frustrating because there were disagreements about the 'noteworthiness' of some of these games. I could understand that much, but the 'noteworthiness' requirement was not evenly applied between these articles. Articles on some more popular games were tagged for deletion, whereas some articles on less popular games were left. Eventually, I just gave up.

There's a several schools of thought which divides wikipedia editors about what should be included. I read a very interesting article once. Gonna look it up and post it later.
