My godmother used to work in cartography. I was astonished to find that she's worked on mapping things like Pentagon - during the Cold War.

That's pretty important intel she worked on. Do you know how they dealt with confidentiality back then? I can only imagine the Stasi keeping a close eye on her.

I'm afraid I have very little idea. I didn't ask her, and there will be no opportunity soon. All I know is that they had passes.

Stasi, though? I doubt it: she worked in Russia. No business for an Eastern German espionage agency in the USSR, is there?

Nah, Russians would've never invented a name as cool as "Stasi" for its secret service. Germany wins this one.
