And thanks to rezzeJ for starting the whole mess!
I'm not in the menagerie, but on Wednesday I came close to a new personal record for running 5K, just while out training for a fall race. While my longer run today was a little slower, I suppose my goal of a two hour half marathon seems achievable. My personal record is 2:05:20.
According to Garmin (so last nine months of running), it's 26:36. I think I could get that below 25 minutes if I worked toward that goal.
That's how I've felt after the two half marathons I've done. The runner high wears off, and then I'm just toast for a bit.
Just got done running my first ever actual race so fuck you, menagerie goals.
1/4 to go. My tab dissapeared (just commenting on it now but it's been a few months) from the doc. These were my 2016 goals: Read 2 books per month : I don't allocate enough time to read books, but I've read a lot from articles and discussion threads (from Hubski and forums) and I think I've gained a better understanding, but not a deep one, of some things. Should still read more books though. Exercise/run 3 times per week : The year started well, but now I've slacked a lot. October will change that. Find an interesting internship : It took 2,5 months, but I got really lucky in the end and found a great internship in consulting, working on the French subway system (focused on maintenance costs). It's interesting, I work with friendly people and I learn a lot. I'm sharpening more and more what I want to focus on later, and it's probably going to be the automotive industry. Between autonomous vehicles, electric cars, and changing public landscape, I find this interesting, challenging and useful. Take time to travel to Asia or Oceania with friends : not quite yet. My internship got me to America and it was amazing, so it's a very nice trade-off. Clean bookmarks (30/month) : Still more to go, I've worked a bit on that. Dedicate time to dating : Eeeh. Not doing well in that department. Trust issues. (How do you trust your companion ? I think I'm confident in myself, even a bit too much with ideas and opinions, but I also trust people to be people, so I find it hard to trust someone with all the stories we hear and we experience). Develop Palantyr.org with more content : Website hasn't moved at all. 2/3 major goals achieved, I need to find a way to be more disciplined in the other areas and happiness will flourish.
Go to the spreadsheet. On the very bottom is a list of names. To the right of that list of names are two arrows. Click the right-most arrow to scroll through the names. "lil" is 2/3 the way through the list. And it looks like you never entered anything into the sheet. sad face.
