This movie has so much going on for it, soundwise, that makes it a theater must see. The car sounds. The gun shots. The awesome soundtrack. It's a fun, fun, fun experience.
Also, the opening chase scene is worth the price of admission alone.
I can't do movie theaters anymore, but I'm pumped to hear Hollywood put something good out. This is nickels and dimes on the production budget though, only $34 million. Guess that's all Wright really needed here. Also, one of my good friends said Dunkirk blew his mind. Sounds like this summer's movie drought is finally over.
The last movie I saw in theaters more than once was "Fury Road" because the visuals were amazing. I'm thinking about seeing this one in theaters again, because the audio is so amazing. Edgar Wright did an amazing job with foreshadowing, as usual, and (minor spoiler) the symbolism around Baby's sunglasses and his relationship with the world around him as the movie progresses was great.
