/u/DevinM666, who has now deleted his account, posted: “I work for Congress and have been asked to come up with a list of Clinton/Obama/election scandals for my boss ASAP.... This is not a shitpost. This is real. Congressional investigation. Do it for America!”
Apparently based on those comments, the House Judiciary Committee voted to adopt an amended resolution introduced by Representative Matt Gaetz (R-Fla.) calling for a special counsel investigation.
A Gaetz staffer crowdsourced the amended resolution with the help of r/The_Donald, a pro-Trump subreddit notorious for both its embrace of conspiracy theories and its gleeful offensiveness. The Reddit user, “Devinm666,” regularly posted on the forum praising Gaetz, referencing his work in Congress, and at one point publishing a picture of his congressional ID badge with his name and face blacked out. Gaetz confirmed that “Devinm666” is Devin Murphy, a legislative aide in his office.
In older posts on r/The_Donald, Murphy called former President Barack Obama a "Kenyan Muslim" and "Barry o'Islama." He also called refugees in Germany "raping savages."
Only the #FakeNews #LiberalMedia would think it's a bad idea to brainstorm ideas with regular citizens. Regular. Citizens.
There are state, county, and sometimes even district level subreddits if congresspeople want to hear from their constituents without holding town halls.
The_Donald are far from regular citizens! I also noticed that devinm666 was a regular contributor on SJWHate. He's certainly an extremist.ideas from regular citizens
I also suspect that many are not even American citizens.
Yeah, me too. You see a considerable uptick on r/politics from T_D contributors roughly when Moscow opens for work.
