Sorry about the WaPo source, don't know if y'all consider them to be suspect, but it looks like they were the first to report this.

- Nearly half of Republicans (47 percent) believe that Trump won the popular vote, which is similar to this finding. Larger fractions believe that millions of illegal immigrants voted (68 percent) and that voter fraud happens somewhat or very often (73 percent). Again, this is similar to previous polls.
Moreover, 52 percent said that they would support postponing the 2020 election, and 56 percent said they would do so if both Trump and Republicans in Congress were behind this.
Most of the news about politics these days makes me shake my head, but a few headlines make me feel genuinely concerned about our current and future political climate. I get that the poll was worded in such a way as to give a potential postponement a "legitimate" reason, but that's exactly how it would play out in real life. It's very revealing to see just how far people would be willing to take a single political figure at his word.
I saw the headline earlier, and just sort of sighed. But the more I think about it, I think one way or another that by the time my daughter can vote (about 15 years), our country is going to look pretty different from the way it does now. People as a group will always take the easy way out. They don't improve until it costs more not to (and sometimes not even then).
