This is actually pretty interesting. My only real complaint with this or anything similar is that it also assumes human-like motivations.

I think that's going to forever be a limiting factor. We don't exactly know where the limits of our imagination are, and we can't really conceptualize a value/motivation system outside of what we have seen already.

The mere act of asking 'What could non-human motivations be?' puts you into a box because it assumes that we are able to understand/conceptualize a non-human motivation/goal.
