... uh.

As it turns out, Pierre shops for many of Mrs. Trump's outfits anonymously in New York.

"I go to Bergdorf, I go to Saks, Michael Kors, Dior," he told The Times. "What is challenging is when I cannot say what it is for."

He also makes sure that Mrs. Trump doesn't wear anything that other public figures have worn before.

"I always ask: 'Was it already on the red carpet? Did somebody already wear it?' Because I don’t want her to be on the 'Who Wore It Better' list."

The last time Melania Trump pissed people off with her clothing choices, it was over a pair of $700 Louboutins. You're tellin' me the first lady accidentally wore a $39 Zara jacket?

HYPOTHESIS

The first lady didn't get something she wanted. Don't know what, don't care. And because she didn't get what she wanted, she decided to remind The Donald who run Bartertown. I can't find any news about Pierre being fired, but he did just launch a clothing line. I wonder if he asked for a raise, didn't get it, and tendered his resignation.

Because people who get designers to shop for them at Bergdorf's? They don't accidentally end up in Zara.

This was 100% intentional, there's no debate necessary.

The first lady didn't get something she wanted.

Fidelity?

Fidelity.

Like, recently? She seems to be pretty good at being catty. She's probably one of the savvier people in that White House.

Some liberal Twitter users think Stephen Miller had her wear it as a distraction. Because they're idiots. I also found your theory which I find more believable

It hadn't occurred to me that Melania Trump would listen to Stephen Miller. Frankly, it hadn't occurred to me that they would ever be in a situation where they might communicate. Now that I've been forced to grapple with the idea I'm not left convinced of its plausibility.

So liberal conspiracy theories are not at all entertaining. I need some gay frogs and fish people in my conspiracies.

I've seen it posited that even her plagiarized speech was intentional and meant to stoke outrage. Every misstep is a calculated attempt to outrage the left. Either this woman is entirely complicit in all decisions made by her husband and his circle of stupid or she has no agency in her life at all. It's not possible she's a flawed person in a situation she doesn't know how to deal with and is completely unprepared for even at this point. Y'all some woke motherfuckers indeed.

Left conspiracy theory is like right comedy.

I'm cool with that because their conspiracy theories are their comedy for me

I've heard she's pretty strong willed and not happy to be First Lady so her trolling Trump seems more likely to me
