I've been thinking about this post for a couple of days, and I can say that YES, I WOULD change my buying habits if I knew something had a wicked carbon footprint. Gotta be as accurate as the Nutrition Information and the Ingredients list, and can't be those bullshit wishy-washy "recyclable!" logos that anyone can print on their label without repercussions. It needs to be vetted and confirmed. But hey ... if I find one brand of MacNCheese has twice the carbon footprint of another, shit yes I'll switch brands! No question.
Yes. To build on the existing thread, I hate when packaging has a recycling symbol, but no corresponding number code to let me know where/how to recycle the material. It's usually a PR stunt with no legal recourse. But if there were an enforcement mechanism that compels companies to be even roughly truthful about the (e.g.) per-serving carbon footprint? Please, please, pleaseeee
