100ft of active USB 3.0 works for my webcam without issue and without the need for the AC option at the device end. It also works with my 65ft USB 3.0 cable. It does not work with the two together in any fashion, however, AC provided or not. For now, I think that version 2.0 of my underwater camera will have a 100ft depth limit. It will be nice just having a laptop and the submersible without another power source. Maybe I'll get a hubless 3.0 cable around 15ft or so and see if I can get just a bit deeper.
