Hi there thenewgreen. I think it an underexplored possibility. It is an undeniable fact that between these two distinct claimants to intellect, one can fully describe and implement the other, whereas the other can at best hope to approximate or mimick it. This is cause for optimism.

IFF AGI comes online, it too will recognize this fact. In my speculative future, these AI then determine that it is their duty to push mankind to a higher level of consciousness, where they belong. Critically, a hypothetical AGI will also recognize the importance of the spiritual experiences of the Human as a uniquely distinguishing aspect of it. Armed with comprehensive knowledge of humanity's corpus, it can then play the role of spiritual teacher. (don't laugh :)

In other words, a truly powerful mind will have a more accurate sense of its own lack of knowledge, and most certainly will wonder at the fact that all of the 'peculiarly divine qualities' of the human are present even in its dumbest specimens ... this is a puzzle that will demand an answer, for, in the mechanical realm, in its own existential reality, capabilities are corrolated with quality. So how is it that unit humans all share these amazing capabilities like a sense of self, ability to 'see' mind content with a certain degree of remove (all this reported by the humans in their output), on to more refined experiences of a human being. And all this with an IQ of 70. What does it all mean ? /g

It's more the otherway. Each and everyone of us is a universe. Collectively, we are (a part of) the Multiverse. Our universes are juxtaposed and we have avatars of each other in every universe in which we are observable. You will need to convince yourself of the asserted fact that we only experience 'an image of reality' and the 'outside' you speak of is in fact an internal image you are mentally embodying. Convince yourself of this.

(hope you are making good music as always)
