I've got the flu right now. It's wonderful.
My maternal grandma would make osha tea with local honey. It soothes the mind and fever. I still make osha when I feel a hint of darkness enter my lungs. I hope that you feel better soon, Vince. Best wishes as the year comes to a close.
A teaspoon of Angostura Bitters in some warm water will either settle your stomach or bring up whatever gave you the stomachache. For sore throats, my grandma used to make a warm slurry of lemon and honey. I'd get just a drop of that on a spoon and suck on it instead of a cough drop. I hope you feel better!
My mom always made this honey and ginger(powdered) paste with a hint of lemon to soothe cough and sore throat. I hated it as a child, but it works wonders for me now!
