A 'groundbreaking case'
While I don't think criminalizing doctors like this is a place society should go, if you read about this case it becomes obvious that there is much this doctor could have done to help keep this murder from happening. That's not to say she is a murderer though.

I'm glad to hear that he's not being sent to jail. While it seems like a logical fallacy to damn assisted murder but 'allow' murder, this man clearly needs a lot of help.Gaillard, meanwhile, was judged to be criminally irresponsible for his actions due to his illness, said to be a form of paranoid schizophrenia.
