- Space-time is smooth rather than foamy, a new study suggests, scoring a possible victory for Einstein over some quantum theorists who came after him.
The General Theory of Relativity was put forth by Einstein in 1915, depending on what date you use. It's 2013, and we're just now seeing physical evidence of his theory. It's a testament to just how smart of a man he was, and how complicated and hard it is to put forth experiments to test these theories.
For the scientifically challenged: Can you explain or link to some sites that offer up a basic introduction to quantum theory? I barely made it through chemistry in school and opted towards liberal arts when I studied at university. Cheers.
This site is decent for a basic introduction. It offers more explanations as opposed to delving into the math of the issue, I think you'll find it to be helpful.
This is great. Thanks for the link, I've bookmarked it.
