That is an easy question; I didn't decide, since I just pre-ordered both :P I'll probably go with X for my first playthrough though, since Charizard X and Mewtwo X look so cool!

I agree! I don't follow the meta game at all, and I don't care to understand EVs or IVs or anything like that! I like both the legendaries, so I couldn't decide based on that.

I don't think so; while the download is on the SD card, the purchase is tied to the 3DS itself, so you can't just swap SD cards. Either way, I'd still be carrying around an extra card, and I like physical cards anyway. I've got a lot of digital purchases/rewards, you just can't beat a physical card.

By the way, I didn't know they had 3D printers like that! The only ones I knew about that people could get were the kind I already described and another that just glues powder together.

I honestly hope they don't do that, though... It's a lot easier for me to swap cartridges around, and since I buy both, I like to trade between them, which would be a pain if they were both on the sd card.

More than a week! It broke yesterday, and the release is on the 12th. I agree it will help people (on reddit, people are already saying that the leaks have pushed them to one version or another) but there are also those poor indecisive bastards for whom any extra information is just too confusing...

It seems like it wouldn't be really that hard, even given the whole "gravity" issue. From what the article said, it will use spools of plastic, which I assume means the printer is similar to a Makerbot. A Makerbot melts plastic from a spool and lays it down in rows, kind of weaving the molten plastic together so that it solidifies into one solid shape. The spigot just extrudes the plastic, and the platform also moves up and down with the model, so as long as the model is securely attached to the base, there shouldn't be any problems.

That said, I really do want to see a video of it!

Well, physically, the last thing I made was a 3-d print of a Kodiak shuttle from Mass Effect. Digitally, I'm still working on it, but I'm making a game; not too sure yet as to what it will be like, but I hope it will be fun! I'm learning a lot about programming games in the process, and writing a plot will be a good creative exercise for me.

It really is difficult! On one hand, I love seeing more about the games, but on the other hand, I want to be surprised about a lot of the stuff in the games.

I already know the starter I'm going with, and I pre-ordered both versions, so that really isn't a factor for me. I guess it will be a balancing act, as I try to stay away from news about the game, but keep going back to see that new pokemon, or NPC, or anything!

As for the street date being broken, I can't think that is any good. Mistakes happen, but Nintendo wanted it released on the 12th for a reason, and early releases just screw that up and ruin it for the people who wanted to avoid any possible spoilers. I'll bet that if Nintendo finds out who broke the street date, there will be some consequences for them.
