Martian Chronicles by Ray Bradbury

I recently read "Fahrenheit 451" and love it so I bought some of his books (other one is The October Country).

Well, I use Ubuntu as my main OS nearly for one year, mostly for development and basic tasks like surfing the web. I have not encountered any serious problems and never had to touch command line to fix a issue. Of course, your experience may be different for your hardware and use case are different.

Most of the configuration is automatically done by installer in my case, but I don't know how yours going to be. But you should not worry about getting competent enough, I always google to find solutions and never try to memorize them, but one certainly learns trough the process as no solution directly solves a problem. :) As a side note, I don't think that we should not be our computer's masters to use them. I see these things as issues that need to be solved, and the community came a long way in usability terms.

I strongly recommend dual-booting with Windows. As you said, for certain things it just works and while most of the world use it, you will have to use it (at least in sometime). This will directly solve your third problem.

Isn't it self hosted (or federated)?

I'm sorry to hear that, get well soon! I am starting the IB too, and it's the first time. I wish luck to both of us!

Thank you! Yes, the process is insane, and inhuman I think, but I went through a different one. In my case (applying to UWC, not a university in Turkey), a national committee, alumni, controls the whole process.

How is my life? Well, it's actually pretty good! Recently, I've been nominated to UWC Dilijan and I will start studying there at the end of the August. Elections was long and not easy, and only 7 of ~400 students could have scholarship, so I didn't really expect to be nominated, just wanted to try my chance. Sometimes I still can't believe it!

I'm living in Istanbul, Turkey. It's a huuge city with 20 million people in it, and it's very tiresome to live there. Traffic, population and pollution are everywhere. I'm pretty happy to get out of it.

I'm interested in technology in general, especially in computers and programming them. Nowadays I'm working on a project, that is an object oriented file system. My main goal is to utilize metadata at its best. I think hierarchical file systems are pretty primitive for this job, and mocking them with tags or external databases won't help us.

I want to be an astro/cosmonaut, why not?

Update: Of course, there's another way to get it if you don't mind missing out on some of that Commodore re-branding: direct from China. Android Police did a little legwork and found (surprise!) the Commodore Pet is a Orgtec WaPhone with a new logo. The original version of the phone doesn't come with Commodore and Amiga emulators, but it does cost about half as much, minus international shipping.

I love him!

No pleasure is in itself evil, but the things which produce certain pleasures entail annoyances many times greater than the pleasures themselves.

This is a very very good way of explaining, why the things that deemed bad are really bad.

Take a look at Voat right now, all the old users of Voat are complaining about the new influx of Reddit users flooding the site with memes and stuff. It's quite interesting to watch.
