Damn. Well, my ignorance would be due to my blackout of all info on it, to help my self control
I actually used this video (or a very similar one, same graphics and all that. The video says it was uploaded two months ago but this was at least double that far back) as a springboard for a presentation in a human relations class. I found some willing participants, contacted at random some of their facebook "friends" and interviewed them. Just basic relevant things in their life that anyone considered an acquaintance would know. Then I quizzed the participants on how well they knew them. I don't remember the exact statistics, but something like 20% could answer most of the questions with some accuracy. As a bonus type thing, I didn't tell the participants the last names of any of the people and asked them to fill in their info included with the random interviewees picture. Only something like 40% could even recall the "friend"s last name. It was a lot of fun to do and I culled my Facebook friends greatly after that.
Yeah, they really bastardized the Mana series after Sword of Mana on GBA. I don't recommend nor have I played any of the new ones based on the new art style and what I've seen of the combat
School just started for me on top of getting a new job right as the multiplayer launches. No GTAVMP for me until I get a good handle of school and get my first paycheck.
Legend of Mana, it's an entry in the Mana series for the PS1 that was nothing like the other Mana games of the time (Secret of Mana, Seiken Densetsu 3, etc). It features 2D sidescrolling combat and long but sporadic and unrelated story arcs. The series itself started off as an offshoot of the Final Fantasy series, interestingly enough. Anyway, Legend of Mana is a huge piece of nostalgia for me. I played it obsessively throughout my childhood and recently fell in love with it again. Some of the best music and art style to come from the PS1 era, in my opinion. It was met with mixed reactions for it's departure from Secret of Mana/Seiken Densetsu 3's combat/story. But to me it's one of the best games I've ever played. You can craft your own weapons, create magical instruments to use in battle, raise monsters to fight alongside you, organize the overworld however you like, meet a diverse amount of companions, and so much more. It has breadth and depth for a PS1 game. At the very least, if you're interested, check out some of the art style/music/combat on youtube. It's a wonderful gem of a game, and I hate using the word gem unless it really applies.
There was nothing we could do, but I probably would have spent everything I had (admittedly not a whole lot, so let's just say I would have increased my debt substantially) to keep him alive. I'm sorry that happened, thankfully you were able to save him. Don't expect anyone to be able to understand the bond you have with your pet. The fact that they were telling you to let him pass just underlines the disconnect between pet owner and an outsider looking in.
For sure! It's definitely up there on my most played albums of all time.
I don't listen to Interpol much anymore, but when it's raining I'll pop in my Turn On the Bright Lights disc. It just gets me thinking about my life in a good way. Especially the song "NYC" (track 3 I think).
How will Hubski retain it's separate philosophy than that of Reddit's as it continues to grow? I've seen subreddits change drastically as their members grew, doesn't the same principle apply to a different website as well?
All of my roommates smoke pipe tobacco and they enjoy it a lot. I'm more a cigarette kind of guy, but when I've sampled their pipes it's been a lot more rich in flavor and I actually buzz which is always good. I can see maybe owning one someday, but like I said, cigarettes have always been my preference.
Mobile is largely how I use the internet, and with my specific phone there are a lot of links that don't like to cooperate with me (not just this website). I'm excited to try out a mobile site!
Will locate on payday. First time user, though I never felt compelled to assist reddit for some reason. This seems like so much more of a community than reddit ever did
