Although alot of people said that 3d printing in its early stages wasn't feasible but now...you got Direct Metal Laser Sintering (DMLS) which can print jet engines and rocket engines. Probably won't be that long til we see this concept ramped up.
Heres the link Just remember that this concept is in its infancy (your not gonna see it building a house just yet.)
Haha I remember reading that article a while ago until you just shared it :) thanks for that. Btw have you ever read Frankenstein by Mary Shelley? (Fun fact: some people think that Frankenstein was actually ghost written by Lord Byron).
If you google their site you'll be able to find the features. But this idea/concept is pretty damn new. Most 3d printers are confined to a small working space and apply material in layers whereas this uses a 6axis industrial robotic arm to be able to print without support structures. The guys who made this are currently printing an entire metal bridge on location.
Thank you :) I like it because many of the concepts go into technical depth, whereas alot of space/tech blogspam sites don't. :) A great one is the use of metallic hydrogen as a rocket propellent.
Totally agree. I'm new as well and the first thing I noticed was there is a large amount of bare space on both sides. This room could be sooo useful for new hubski functions.
