Honestly, Nicholas Cage. I know people like to make fun of him and even go as far as to praise him religiously in a mocking satirical sense, but I really thing he is a great actor. He is great at selling a number of roles, whether it is a psychotic murderer (followed by law abiding cop) in Face-Off, a dirty cop turned hero in Snake Eyes, or a cold hardened gun runner in Lord of War (my favorite performance of his). I have yet to see an actor get into character and sell it as well as Nicholas Cage has, even if he does sometimes have a questionable taste in scripts. I feel nobody seriously recognize how good and versatile of an actor he really is.

It's all about user base, user base, user base. User base, to an investor, means eyes to whom you can sell to. Whether it be ads, Reddit gold, user information, or some other commodity, having the eyes and thoughts of millions means a great potential for revenue even if it hasn't been cashed in on yet. That's why Facebook got valued in the millions when it went public on the stock exchange before it even started to turn a dollar of profit.

I find it useful to acknowledge that Elon Musk is first and foremost a businessman. We should take what he has with a grain of salt. He has a financial incentive to build hype around the possibility of interplanetary space travel, specifically using SpaceX spaceships. It would be foolish of him to acknowledge any kinks they have yet to work out or problems they have yet to tackle because there just isn't any incentive to do so. Also take note that we don't have much in the way of technical specs on how he plans to do it. All we have are some rendered mock ups, animations, and an optimistic outlook from someone with a monetary conflict of interest of how the public perceives the viability of future space exploration.

I feel like we are trying to find an enemy. We are trying to find a scapegoat that we can point to when things go bad (2008 crash), but in reality it's just the result of an error in a flawed system. Instead of fixing that system's flaws, we are instead focusing on the proverbial boogeyman for whom which we can blame all our shortcoming and failures. The same way early man tried to explain/blame things he could not understand or comprehend on supernatural forces greater than himself, we are trying to blame the shortcoming of a global interconnected economy and society too complex for us as individuals to understand on an external entity. The liberals and Occupy movement have settled on the rich. The conservatives and Tea Party have settled on Obama and federal government.

Instead of looking for these "boogeyman" for whom we seek to blame, we should start looking for the root causes of our strife. Look for what caused the 2008 crash instead of who. What caused the income disparity instead of who.

Is the community really that small or does it merely feel that way because of the UI? How big is hubski?

Very simple and easy to learn but near impossible to master.

Unfortunately I lack a smart phone and data plan so I have never been a mobile browser.

I tried installing a filter in Chrome, but I always ended up either just going around it or simply pouring my time into something else online (YouTube, 4Chan, etc.). It was like playing whack-a-mole. I would block a site only to have this sort of nervous itch to browse. It didn't matter what I browsed, it just has to be online and distract my attention form whatever was at hand.

I spend an unhealthy amount of time online, probably 7-10 hours a day during the week and 15-20 hours during the weekend. I feel like it is a serious handicap. I find it really hard to apply myself for any significant length of time. for me, doing homework or studying for a test before 9:00 pm the night before is almost unheard of. As a result, I often stay up until 2:00 am or later doing work only to wake up at 7:00 or 8:30 am the next day. I have tried so hard to stop, but at times it really feels like I can't.
