Flevans - Make new friends
Once upon a time, when men walked the earth with heavy footprints and loud clamorous breathing, indifferent to any natural dangers, there arose a new species. The new species, ugly as it was, really loved mirrors. The mirrors themselves were a magical thing. When they viewed themselves in them, they saw themselves as what they wanted to look like. No longer ugly, no longer sad. One of their number, called Xerox, adopted the spirit of the trickster with the will of humanity's most brutal tyrants. Sadly, with only limited hours of daylight, the time spent in front of the largest (and most slimming) mirror had to be shared by all. And that was how the Great War began. Late one night, the other species - the loud-breathing, heavy-footed humans - broke into the encampment of the mirror-loving species and stole the large, slimming mirror. Soon after sunrise, these club-footed thieves realized they held a greater treasure than they could have ever imagined. A fight broke out and the huge mirror was smashed into hundreds of coin sized fragments, sharp as razors and magical as ever
That's a great link - full power to her!
There's quite a lot of them! I wouldn't mind a sneaky look at what they get up to instead. Not so many in the UK, some strict presbyterians on the Scottish isles and again plenty of political/mainstream support for marijuana prohibition. Nice to see some movement in this area in the US. In my mind the prohibition of marijuana led directly to development of super strength skunkweed which has more mental health side effects in a subset of the users- cf moonshine and blindness during the alcohol prohibition in the US. Excuse my ignorance - but was there a particular trigger for the alcohol prohibition ?
Anybody anywhere a believer in prohibition? Were there even any short term benefits anyone can claim?

plus 1, hello - I came here yesterday from a reddit home page story, the aforementioned theory of reddit (I think) talking about the middle reddit era and the new reddit era and that reddit has become less serious conversation (more crap + ?more fun)- I never got as far as signing up for reddit, just used it to see a snapshot of the world news and TIL, prob still will. I like the idea of both worlds - a place for serious discussion, and a place for comedy cats. Good luck hubski people - hope you're not just in it to sell out for the big bucks!
