I've never been someone that "works out". I just get too bored with it. I do enjoy sports and recreational activities. 2 years ago I decided to do P90x. I did it for 60 days (not 90) and I was in the best shape of my life. I have never felt or looked better, it was absolutely amazing. Every aspect of my life was enhanced by it but the problem was that it required an hour and a half of intense workout every day. That's a lot.

What I intend on doing in 2012 is to improve my diet and exercise more via recreation (bike riding, sports etc). I think the key to health is moderation. Obsessively working out isn't healthy either.

Good luck to all that are trying to improve their health, it's a noble endeavor.
