Right now? Probably Cookie Clicker considering how much of my time this (basically useless) game is consuming. Other than that I spent a large amount of my free time with League of Legends, a free-to-play MOBA which I probably wasted more than 80 days of played time on.
I've never seen the appeal in Cookie Clicker and games like it. I tried to get into it, but I found it very repetitive and pointless.
No. At first yes, but then you start buying things that generate cookies, from cursors to antimatter condensers. You can get upgrades to make these buildings better and to do other stuff. There are also achievements, for things such as cookies baked, buildings owned, etc. Then there's the Grandmapocalypse... It's scary how much time I've had it open.
Well, I guess I can welcome you to THE CLUB :) And no, that's not all: After a couple of minutes you can buy upgrades, which will generate cookies for you. After an hour or so, clicking itself is basically obsolete, because the cps (cookies per second) by your upgrades will be much higher than the ones you get from clicking. And then the hunt for upgrades and achievements is on!
Is it bad that I have the "No Click" achievement and have created 94,309,474,136,215 cookies?
I had a similar amount of time logged playing that game. I'm frankly glad I don't play it anymore, it stressed me out and was a waste of time. The only reason I would've continued playing is if it had a community I liked. A group of mature, friendly, funny people. A group like hubski... I'm kidding, hubski, do not make a League of Legends group, that'd be too much.
Yeah, sometimes I think to myself that I've played it enough and I should move on and find some time for all the other awesome games out there. I have all the champs and a huge chunk of IP piling up, it occupied me several years and I didn't really spend that much on it (really!). But somehow I have a weakness for competitive online games and I just keep coming back. The community honestly doesn't even bother me that much, but I either play ARAM/normals with friends or I play rankeds alone, but then again I'm high plat and that may spoil me regarding my teammates. And so I keep logging in every day and keep playing and playing and playing and...
I never got better than silver, and all I wanted to do was play at gold or platinum, just to get there, and then I'd stop. But I realized I had logged something like 2 months of real-time playing over a few years, and that I wasn't going to get any better just open-endedly playing. Different part of my life, that was something like a year ago I quit. I realized if I spent a fraction of that time doing anything else, it'd probably be a better use of my time. So I took to drug dealing and womanizing. KIDDING
Mh yeah, he nerfed/adjusted some prices and bonuses. Also he added another tier of upgrades and a bunch of achievements. The full patchnotes look like that: Also he's working on a Dungeon system right now, which is still in beta though, but I guess it's included in the next patch (The beta dungeons I played weren't really worthwhile though).
I actually have two games open right now, one where I didn't reset and one where I did reset that also had the new beta. The non reset one has 1 chip and would get about 72 more chips if I reset now, and the reset one has 24 chips and would get another 12 I think. 6.6 billion CPS on the non reset one... I probably should stop playing the game but it's too fun for some reason.
