There are no sections or 'subreddits' if you will on Hubksi. The closest thing are tags which you can also follow besides people. Thankfully, users can click on any tag they see and block it so they never have to see content they don't want, even if they otherwise enjoy the rest of the content of a poster that they follow.
Ah no worries :) If you really want to break out of the karma-loop turn on 'Zen' mode in your Hubski settings. It removes information about the number of votes posts and comments have received, as well as hides things like the number of followers you have etc. The skin is designed to just let you focus on the content without the social popularity cues ;) But you may want to start off with regular old Hubski first for a while before you get all crazy.
