I like to check out global posts (click the dots in the upper right to get posts with different amounts of shares). Good stuff can get buried, even on a small site.

Also, this gives one an opportunity to check out what people are about. I have had good discussions with users simply by asking them what their position is on a given post topic. Hubski has a lot of corners, which I like because I'm a real curious dude. Personally, I like that content and conversation are not served up for me to look at, as per my experience of reddit. As with anything, your mileage may vary, but there are a lot of potential miles covered when one asks other people what it's like to be in their shoes.
