I'm no fan of Kanye West, but I think that this article touches on something real and something that's often hard for people who experience what's being discussed, to articulate. I get why West was used to open the topic, but I would hope that people can see that this is worth discussing and fighting against beyond West and Kimmel. It bugs me that racism so easily dismissed.
I actually don't think he sounded nuts at all. He sounded like someone I'd gladly place my bets on to succeed. I mostly heard passion trapped behind a frustration that he, even at his level of notoriety, still has barriers to entry. Nice #rant
I came here to say this exact thing. He wasn't "nuts" by any stretch. He said things that people aren't used to hearing. He might not be as articulate as say Cornell West but he certainly wasn't talking about brain slugs controlling government officials.
