I really enjoyed this article. It highlights how anything we do in society can become addictive if we let it. I know when I'm playing video games, sometimes I can get lost in it and all of a sudden a few hours of gone by- my girlfriend and the rest of my life gets ignored.

Keeping limits on my time helped me as well as having others there to hold me accountable for the amount of time I spent on video games. People with poor social structures and a very rocky home life can certainly use something like video games as an escape.

They call it 'restart' and then go on to talk about how they changed the language from "level 2" to "phase 2" in order to avert the use of lingo that is "game-like". But the name of the entire program is a pun on gaming. Wouldn't this be like a drug rehabilitation center being called un-cracked?

It's an interesting thing, the addictive personality. It can happen with anything; video games, internet use (social media), drugs, drink, food, reading, exercise etc. I've known addicts that seem addicted to being rehabilitated. -All things in moderation.
