Taking a page from mknod's book with the tag. My dad saw Alice Cooper live over 20 times when he was growing up in Michigan. Apparently Alice played Detroit quite a bit, being from there.
Story goes that this song was originally titled, "Edgy", not "Eighteen."

Man our dad's music is going to collide! I have an Alice Cooper song/album coming up too! One of my friends grew up with Alice as a neighbor. He has a story about going to the mall with the Cooper family, but I don't want to share it because I don't know it well enough to give the details. The basic idea of the story is that my friend (as a very young child) awkwardly asked Alice Cooper to buy him a Christmas present. Mr. Cooper said no.
