I've never seen this movie, but I came across this clip. Released in 1976, but I think its more true now than it was then. Prescient; very prescient.

What an enjoyable 4 minutes and 45 seconds. Thanks for this. Someone else recently posted the "I'm mad as hell" scene from this. (also great and "prescient")

It was referenced in a http://hubski.com/pub?id=10703
comment: as well as a http://hubski.com/pub?id=6204 Man... Network is everywhere these days. I think it's about time I see it.

That is a great clip. Unless I'm mistaken, the business man is only in that one scene (and what a scene!).
The irony about the "Mad as Hell" scene it's that it's monetized by the TV station where Mr. Beale works. It's interesting that I see it used more as an example of raw revolt rather than cynic disenchantment. Besides the excellent Network, you should check out 12 Angry Men, Serpico and Dog Day Afternnon for you regular dose of Sidney Lumet.

12 Angry Men is great as are Serpico and DDA. When I watched the "Mad as Hell" scene, it reminded me of Glen Beck.
