So b_b and I had a discussion about "interested in" -- please tell me why that can't be a space we're allowed to fill in ourselves? I've brought this up several times. Right now, mine doesn't even contain tags I've used recently, it contains (I think?) the last five tags I shared. Or something. That's not a particularly good reflection of my hubski use. Let us choose our favorite five tags or five tags we'd like to promote to new users, or even just tags we think better show our site use. -- The rest of this is awesome, I love my interactions history.
That's a possibility. Right now it pulls the most 5 common tags from the last 50 posts that you submitted. However, I suspect many users would leave it blank if it were suggestion only. But I do think the idea of suggested tags is interesting. Thanks. I plan to make those pages sortable by shares, etc, just like the other feeds. The rest of this is awesome, I love my interactions history.
"submitted" --I'm assuming you mean shared, because I don't submit #weeklymusicthread anymore. I have #comedy and #askhubski on mine also, which aren't tags I've used much if at all. Submitted is a better metric than shared; but letting us do it ourselves (maybe as a choice?) is best in my opinion. Just as long as the idea is on your radar.
I think you should maybe look at how you're pulling the "used tags" fields - it looks like you're also pulling tags that others have applied to your posts. I have no recollection of ever tagging something "#language" yet there it is... Otherwise, awesome. I dig it.
I think this is worth discussing. I won't make promises from a coding perspective but I assume it could be implemented with adding a couple more text input fields. In the meantime, you could just do it in your profile section like this: #thehumancondition #goodlongreads #technology & #privacy #bitcoin #singularity and pretty much anything that provides deeper insight into the larger world. like I do.On Hubski, I am especially interested:
Use your bio to promote tags or even users you would suggest people follow. You have all the ability in the world to be creative in that space. Right ? See my bio for an example.
