I haven't gone to the school, but have several friends and family that have. I expect that the undergraduate experience is largely what you make of it. Class sizes are large, but the student body is intelligent and active, and there seems to be an endless number of student groups, etc. The campus is very nice.

Ann Arbor is a terrific town that often makes lists of the best places to live in the US. The public transport is very good, it's very walkable, there are tons of parks, and the food and music scenes are vibrant and diverse. At 120k, it's not a large city, but there's plenty to keep you entertained for four years.

Also, I'll buy you a beer.

wow thats exactly what im looking for in a town, proper college neighborhood it seems. the class sizes were a concern for me beforehand but i could take it as a challenge to stand out. Very helpful, thanks! and It would be a shame for me to pass on such an offer:)

Having lived in Ann Arbor for roughly 8 years as both a student at UofM and a man about town, I can tell you that I think of those years very fondly. They often call A2 the biggest little city because it has a great breadth of culture and varying interests while also being easy to penetrate and become involved. The university has incredible resources at ones disposal that are only limited by an individual's effort. I recommend you at least apply..
