This is a great song, one of my favorites from Dylan. Vedder sings it like Vedder, that's what has always distinguished him from his contemporaries. Say or think what you will of his politics, his social endeavors...his vocation is vocality and at that he is unmatched and truly his own person. What strikes me about this video is how normal it would be if you weren't watching the immortal. Analgous to seeing Paul McCartney backstage.....seeing Eddie Vedder unpack his personal suitcase containing notebook and pen is, well.... Fucking cool. It's no longer a notebook or a pen, it's a special notebook and pen. What must it be like knowing everything you touch or say is instantly special to someone?

Thanks, I plan on checking it out. I have always liked Pearl Jams music and I've had the opportunity to meet the bass player Jeff a couple of times (waiting tables in Missoula) and he was very nice. I think they seem like a group of cool guys that make some pretty kick ass music. 20 years is hard to believe though.
