And here’s the last blast from the past installment of Baby Roy’s Reel Roy Reviews: Greta Garbo’s Queen Christina (which seems an oddly appropriate choice to immediately follow my review of Angelina Jolie’s vintage Hollywood turn in Maleficent). Enjoy!

Wow, this review sent me down a worm-hole of Roy Sexton reviews until I landed on Neighbors. -I like your reviews by the way, so it was an enjoyable worm-hole. I don't get to see too many movies out at the theatre these days but recently I got out and saw Neighbors. Man was I disappointed. It was completely unbelievable and in order to be funny, you have to sort of think the situation is likely, right? I mean, the airbag thing, the fact that they're never with their kid, they can't afford to fix a leaky basement but they can buy wheel barrels and giant buckets full of pot to light on fire? It was a really dumb movie that could have been far better. I agree that Zac Efron had a career changing role. I thought he was really funny. I laughed here and there, but not nearly as much as I had hoped. I realize this comment has zero to do with Greta Garbo's Queen Christina. Sorry.
this is awesome! I appreciate the feedback, and glad you liked what I said about neighbors. I just felt SO gross after watching that movie. and I have a super thick skin and normally I like that kind of thing. but d*mn that movie just seemed mean and illogical - a toxic combo. glad to hear I wasn't alone in that assessment. all my friends loved it, and I thought I'd lost my mind for a bit! thanks for commenting!
