This game sounds amazing. Has anyone here played? I'll admit, I didn't even finish the article, I'm off to do more research on this. -It sounds right up my alley.
Do I need to pick up a game too or do we just need the one board?Maybe we can get a Hubski game running.
-As much as I should be kicking myself for attempting to add anything additional to my life..... I'd be down with that.
I thought Risk was a challenge. This blows it out of the water. In Risk, friendships end. In Diplomacy, lives end.
So you have played the game before? If so, I'm curious if you had 7 or more people playing? In the article it says it requires 7 people but I looked up the wikipedia page and it mentions that it can be played by 2-7 players. Also, were you able to have a definitive victor at the end of the game or was it a draw? I'm definitely interested in the game. Thanks in advance.
I've played the game with 3 others numerous times now. It's a fairly slow game, but the game can be really fun if you have people who understand the rules and can play the other players out against each other. There's a web version of Diplomacy, here, where you can start a game and you get an email every time you need to take a turn.
