I thought enigmail relied on PGP which is, you know...not so private.

PGP/GPG use RSA if you choose it (and by default), but you can use DSA too. If you are concerned about RSA's security then use DSA when generating your private key.

Well, I wasn't quite as misinformed as I thought, but I really don't give myself an A+ for this. Thanks for the DSA tip.
