Been chipping away at this for a while, and I think it's worth offering up to the group- tried to leave enough space for plenty of contribution.
thenewgreen has already been chewing on it, and came up with some hot stuff that he will send me for mixing. Eventually. Take your time, buddy.
In the meantime- jonaswildman, mrjasonetaylor, bgood79, ecib, theholywombat, rezzeJ, T-Dog- anybody feel like taking a crack? Oh, and I'monna add galen in on this one, in case he feels like chipping in. TNG already did some fantastic drums, but until he, uh, sends them, that spot is up for grabs.
thenewgreen's contributions! Feel free to add onto this (incredible) take. But I still want stems to mix just because. Man, those additions really are rad, though.
Dude, I just listened to this for the first time in a long while. Solid work, proud to have been a part of this. So much fun listening to it again
I'm super impressed! Sounds 10x better than the new releases I shuffle through every Tuesday morning on itunes. If I came across this, finished with some cool drums, I might buy this. Not sure I'll have time to contribute, but wish I could. Thanks for sharing!
Thanks! Check TNG's contribution for aforementioned drums. They really do add a lot.
Thanks, bruh. Track sounds great. I'll see about recording something sometime tomorrow. E: Tomorrow's about over. Totally forgot about this. I would say I'll do it tomorrow, but last time I said that didn't go so well, so I'll try to do it sometime in the next couple days.Oh, and I'monna add galen in on this one, in case he feels like chipping in.
I just came home from a pretty big music festival, so i'm pretty beat up. ill cook something up either tomorrow or the day after that.
I kinda always thought one of the tenets of the project was that these tracks were stacked atop one another without post production/mixing. I'm in Michigan till the 18th, I'll send it when I get back. I enjoyed working on it -you should post a link to the version w my parts. -I dig it. Great song fuffle!
There's definitely some room for some Melodica. As far as my contribution to the song, I'm not married to the drums but I do enjoy the electric guitar stuff I did at the end. Also, there are subtle Mellotron and synth parts at the beginning. I added some vocals too which I wouldn't be hurt if they were let go. Time for some T-Dog bass!
Just grant me this one exception this one time. I have no other song ideas right now and I need something to keep me busy at night and I am so sick of my stupid boring life. Also that tenet is for people confident enough not to keep adding dribs and drabs every 7-10 days to the original, which then requires changes on each version down the line. Gimme a sec to upload your version- didn't know whether you wanted it shared yet. Have a good time in Michigan!I kinda always thought one of the tenets of the project was that these tracks were stacked atop one another without post production/mixing.
I completely understand and I'm happy to share the stems with you. As for the boredom, there's a backlog of collaborative music songs to work on :-)
