Oh yea, we never have (thank god).
We live in a mixed economy, or we have since WWII, or maybe since the New Deal.
Before that we lived in a mix of Oligopic, Monopolistic, Free Market Capitalism or at least since the turn of century.
Well maybe before that, except the slave thing...
Hell there is no such thing as free market capitalism. Sorry I just breezed the guys piece, the whole "Free Market Capitalism" thing made not take him seriously, probably should have, at least to find out he really doesn't know what he is talking about. Sadly I looks like the one thing that can save us from uh the uh the capitalism is government and that is headed in the wrong direction, has since the 70's or so. Life will continue to grow riskier as the conservative influence of the right impacts all political ideologies. The Dem's don't really seem to have a backbone, or the ones that do are texting pics of their junk, owning vacation homes without paying taxes or getting enmeshed in call girl rackets, hell. Well at least Rep. Debbie Wasserman Schultz is standing at the head of DNC, she has heart, brain and balls, maybe there is some hope there.
