Thought it might be about ISIL or maybe Dune. Anyway,

    Unfortunately, the rain forest mind-set appears not only less likely to spread than its desert counterpart but also less hardy when uprooted, more of a hothouse attribute.

Delving into the practical reasons for this is interesting. Like, prudishness regarding sex becoming selected as a health measure, or earlier clothing usage being directly impacted by children getting fatal sunburns, etc.

Clothes are more necessary in harsh climates. So, yes.

I'm referring specifically to lethal sunburn. Extreme heat and cold, sure, I've just never heard of fatal sunburns in particular.
