- In this critically-acclaimed web series, a nameless cannabis dealer delivers to clients with neuroses as diverse as the city they live in. High Maintenance was created by husband-and-wife team Katja Blichfeld and Ben Sinclair. They produce this (largely self-funded) series in New York with their BFF and manager, Russell Gregory, as Janky Clown Productions.
I was immediately engrossed by this web series. The characters are rich and superbly acted, allowing the viewer to explore an interesting sub-section of the New York population--namely weed-smoking artists and other liberal petit bourgeoisie. "High Maintenance" is also the first web series to be funded by Vimeo, marking the beginning of their content creation efforts. I can't recommend these enough and they only get better.

I'm telling you. Delivery drug dealers are the best thing about NYC!
I found myself repulsed, and felt personally insulted, when people in the episodes referred to him as a 'drug dealer.' It feels disingenuous to call a weed dealer and a crack dealer by the same epithet. I dunno, maybe it's just me. I was surprised I had such a strong reaction. EDIT: to clarify, I wasn't offended by your use of the phrase. It's a factual term. I think what bothers me is that mainstream culture views the term itself as disparaging.
to this day, I am upset that show was cancelled and for GIRLS none the less. Still mad.
Watched em all. Reeeeaaly good. Thanks! Those characterz. Glad they're picking up steam!
