17, 15, same thing. I honestly haven't felt a change in maturity in myself since maybe 13 or 14 :|

You probably don't have a car, eh? Turning 16 doesn't mean anything without wheels. You need a milestone to remind yourself you're growing up. Graduating high school is a good one. I remember having to pinch myself on my last day of class, because school, from the time I can remember, say first grade or so, felt like a big prison fuck. Then one day you wake up and realize that the world has just granted you adult status. That's a maturity check, and I'm sure based on your age you're just about there, no?

You're so right it hurts; good call. Been waiting to get my permit (drive alone w/o parent in passenger seat) since I turned 17, Mama Pabs won't let me yet. Let me out my cage, Ma!!

Man, I'm clocking out the moment I get an acceptance to a college I decide to go to. I'll make sure my grades coast till the end but.. you're right, I bet finally getting out feels like someone left their boat with the key in during your life sentence in Alcatraz.

Mine too. Those insurance costs, nawmean? It's insane. I honestly don't expect to drive until I've at least spent two years in college. Of course that also has to do with the other matter of not needing to drive once I'm at college.

I think it's probably so progressive you just don't notice it. Or you've been extremely mature since 13 :P

I cringe back on 13 year old me. I wish I had your good manners and diplomacy at that time. I was too smart for my own good and used to make "clever" remarks at the expense of some poor people. It didn't help adults around me found it funny... Criiiinge. Somehow I though that if it was funny, it was not mean. After all, they did it on TV all the time too.

I wish someone slapped some sense into me back then instead of just laughing...
