Girl in my class thought my animation was good enough to give me her number few days ago and we have hit it off pretty well since (and also since she's ssuper hot). This is such an outlandish sequence of events that I can't even make it up. If I get laid tonight somebody better badge the fuck out of this post because I did the impossible, reserved for indie movies about sensitive artsy guys. I mean shit it wasn't even that good but whatever I'M NOT COMPLAINNIG Until then lookielookie I'm in the process of migrating my blog. Come read about how much I hated the Last of Us because it fucking sucked so much oh my God. If it seems like I'm sleep deprived, I am
Awesome! Hey, er... how'd you make that animation? I suddenly gained interesting in animating for completely unreleated reasons... I'm joking, animation has always seemed interesting. It must be pretty great getting someone's number just by doing something you enjoy(Assuming you enjoy animation, do you?). Top job
It is awesome you have friends at Naughty Dog. You can personally tell them that I thought their second coming of gaming was shit. Shiiiiiiiit. It's not like it's their fault. They're not the ones who threw their game up on a cross like it was some misunderstood genius. In fact, they knew what they were doing. They played that shit so super safe. There is nothing wrong with the game, it's just ridiculously boring. But gamers are okay with ridiculously boring. After all that, tell them to make Jak and Daxter 4. I miss Jak and Daxter.
Both of them came from EA. One of them came from Bungie to EA, where he was one of the main AI guys for Destiny and then one of the main AI guys for whatever Blizzard is working on that isn't Starcraft and isn't Warcraft. So I don't know that either of them had much to do with Jak and Daxter.
Back when I was still considering game dev as a career I remember hearing EA was an absolute hell-hole for workers. Long hours to meet ridiculous deadlines following lay-offs as soon as the product shipped. Do they confirm these stories?one of the main AI guys for whatever Blizzard is working on that isn't Starcraft and isn't Warcraft
I have such fond memories of the Jak and Daxter and Ratchet and Clank series. Game devs don't make them platformer shooters like they used to. None of the whole quick-time-events-hold-A-and-run-at-a-wall-to-get-to-its-roof non-sense.After all that, tell them to make Jak and Daxter 4. I miss Jak and Daxter.
<grumbles/> I have little hope for any video-game-based movies. How many years now have the bioshock / WoW films been in the making? Past the stalled pipelines, most games just don't seem like they would translate well into a movie setting. I have trouble imagining rail-shooting being nearly as entertaining when I'm not the one in control.
I have the same concerns, but at the very least this is CGI and not live action like other video-game based movies. Plus R&C had humor going for it. And Rainmaker isn't too bad, plus the original game creators have a hand in it. But yeah, I'm probably gonna preempt myself and give it 70% before I even see it.
Too busy doin' it.If it seems like I'm sleep deprived, I am
