I am sitting outside right now, reading Candide, it was sent to me by flagamuffin and I'm enjoying it.
It's beautiful out right now, the squirrels are playing the birds are chirping and the temperature is just right. The only bummer is that the Mosquitos have arrived.
After reading, I decided to set an alarm in my phone and meditate for 5 minutes uninterrupted.
I lit my new citronella candles to fend off the bugs and began to meditate. About 4 minutes in, I'm feeling very peaceful and present. Then I notice a mosquito trying to land on my face. I blow it aside and it flies right to the candle and lands on its side. -As if the citronella is in no way a deterrent and is in fact pleasing to it.
Then my mind starts racing again and I'm literally about to grab my phone and snap a photo to send to the manufacturers of this $8 candle. -bunk.
Then my alarm goes off and I realize I let a mosquito rob me of my presence.
I challenge any of you hubskiers to take 5 minutes and meditate this week
Enjoy! Beware of the "Mosquitos."
I meditated for something like two hours while I climbed in Yosemite Valley this afternoon. My ultimate goal was Nevada Falls. PS: I know I've taken enough time to meditate this week because I haven't even had the opportunity to watch that trailer you sent me five days ago. I must be doing something right if I've only opened my laptop a handful of times since then.
