Explain if you want, but what are you overly excited for?
I, for one, am over-geeked for Windows 10. We are a Microsoft family (I even carry a Windows Phone) so the allegedly seamless desktop to tablet to mobile experience has me excited.
And I also really like Coen brothers movies and West Coast IPA beers. If I see one of those I am not familiar with it is in my cart.
I don't like a lot of communities because the fanboyism nature can turn into fanhate (ie Smash melee and 4, Dota 2 and LoL). However, I like to see myself as someone who enjoys all kinds of games. I've enjoyed them my entire life and I'm not picky as long as the game is fun. I normally don't play sports/racing/fighting games because they don't appeal to me. I also don't collect game stuff. Rarely will I buy the merchandise for the games (posters, figurines, collectors editions). I got a decent PC, Wii U and 3DS but I think I'm going purely PC soon after Nintendo cycles out the systems.
Parker 51 Fountain Pens: I still think that these are pretty much optimal pen design. They're robust. They can write on carbon transfer paper. They keep your fingers clean (unlike most other fountain pen designs). Super easy and clean to refill. They're pleasant to use (unlike ballpoints). They're not a consumable item (unlike ballpoints). Raleigh Sports Bicycles: Not optimal bicycle design, but a tremendous value. If I wanted the very best transportation bicycle, I'd probably look at a Breezer (in the US). Alas, bicycle theft means that my commuter probably is a consumable, and the Raleigh really hits the spot here. They're cheap. The frame geometry makes them a 'playful' ride. They are robust (especially the pre-1970's models). Easy to work on (outside of the rear hub), and even easier to keep in good shape. Just get aluminum rims for it. Also, hydration bladders.
I've been fanboying something fierce for flannel shirts in the past month or so. I'm actually wearing one right now. It doesn't really make make much sense, what with it being, you know, the hottest season of the year, but there you go. They're just so fucking COMFORTABLE. Bonus points if they're long and baggy.
I have never loved a car like I love my classic Saab 900.
They stopped making them in 1993, but I found one in really good shape. Too bad it's going to be harder and harder to keep it in good repair over time.
After '93, Saab was acquired by GM, and the post-GM ones just aren't quite as awesome.
Too funny. My brother had 4 Saabs, from 83-91 model years. He still speaks fondly of them.
