Hello, person! I'm brand new here. Didn't visit or anything. Came to try it out. I'm sort of disappointed with the format and lack of... reading comprehension. I also like weird shit, so if you want to talk about that, shoot!
The thing about the format (which I like) is that it's a bit... I don't want to say off-putting, but it's exactly that -- you have to put more effort into understanding Hubski's functionality in order to navigate or use it well, which is frankly off-putting to some. Some that I don't mind being put off. I'm sorry, that sounds judgy, but -- actually, I think I got this idea from here -- if you're building an internet community, it's like gardening. If you want a diverse herb garden, you need to take steps to prevent the mint from taking over. If you want an easily maintained herb garden, just plant mint. (Mint is a metaphor for "shitty website users", whatever that might mean. Trolls? Karma hounds?) Not sure what you mean by reading comprehension. Do you mean people are posting irrelevant comments without comprehending the original thread, or that you're having trouble comprehending what you're reading? (I hope it's not the latter. I punctuate weirdly, so I'm not particularly making it easy for anyone.)
What kind of weird shit do you like to talk about? I am up for learning new weird things.
